Town Tour: Broadview

November 5, 2020 Posted in News

Broadview was named when the rail line came through and the only view was the broad expanse of prairie land. The history of this place is closely tied to the First Nations People, CP Rail, and the RCMP. In Memorial Park, you can find a beautiful train that was designed by Communities in Bloom. Of interest for some might be that 185,000 bricks manufactured in Broadview were used in the building of the legislature building. Broadview has recently introduced Pickleball as an activity and has a cool museum too. Although the museum is closed this season make sure to stop by next year and learn all about Sergeant Bill the Goat, he is a war hero!
