Planning for Recreation in Small Town Saskatchewan
Ryan Reiss, Mayor, Town of Vibank

Vibank (with a population of 400) is proof that any community can engage in planning processes to guide the development and delivery of recreation services for the future! In 2020, the Vibank Recreation Board received funding from the South East District Community Recreation Plan Grant. Their board designated time and resources to assess community needs and establish priorities for future. Ryan will share what this project meant to their community and how they did it!

Reimagined Art Programming During the Pandemic
Regan Lanning, Curator, Weyburn Arts Council

Right now, art and creativity in all its forms are more important than ever. The Weyburn Arts Council (WAC) found new, innovative ways to promote and celebrate art in the community in the past year, while having many of their regular programs and events cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Regan will share their strategies for adapting to keep arts alive and moving forward, as well as examples of their cutting-edge programs and events.

The Agenda:

  • To receive the financial statements and the report of the District’s auditor
