Culture Days Yorkton: Make Culture Accessible by Involving all of your Community
Dec 11, 2025
Culture Days is a national celebration that brings communities together through free, hands-on arts and culture events every fall. From coast to coast, people of all ages get creative and connect with local artists. This three-week event is meant to build bridges and strengthen engagement with arts, heritage, and multiculturalism in our communities while promoting dynamic partnerships.
Yorkton has been recognized as a Top Participating Community—a Culture Days National campaign that recognizes communities across Canada for their dedication and efforts (2024). Being acknowledged on the same level as some larger cities has brought attention to their efforts provincially and nationally. What is the secret to their success, and how do they work together to bring dynamic offerings that stand out? Join us and Lisa Washington, Manager of Community, Culture, and Heritage from the Recreation and Community Services department, City of Yorkton, as she walks through some of their program successes, pitfalls, funding and more. Make your hometown a cultural destination this fall and strengthen your community's ties to arts, culture, and heritage.
