Many local groups struggle to recruit individuals for leadership positions such as Chair and Vice Chair due to a lack of experience in managing and leading meetings. Additionally, many groups report that their meetings are lengthy and dysfunctional, often lacking clear agendas or minutes that can lead to conflict. This inefficiency contributes to ineffective meetings, which in turn makes it more challenging to attract and retain volunteers. A “back to basics” approach is needed to educate volunteers and leaders to run quality and productive meetings.
Enhance your board and committee meetings! Learn basic meeting rules and become comfortable with participating in or leading meetings.
