In this workshop you will learn to uncover the rich cultural heritage hiding in plain sight in your community and learn ways to channel that heritage into dynamic projects. Your facilitator is Kristin Catherwood Mantta, who earned an MA in Folklore from Memorial University of Newfoundland with her thesis, "'Every Place Had a Barn: The Barn as a Symbol of the Family Farm in Saskatchewan.'" Kristin is an experienced storyteller with expertise in the cultural landscapes of the prairies, meaningful community engagement, and impactful project management. She has directed short films for the National Film Board of Canada and previously worked for SaskCulture and Heritage Saskatchewan.
